Training Requirements for Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS Director:
1. Praesidium Academy Online Modules:
“Keeping Your Day Camp Safe”
“Duty to Report”
2. Review Diocesan Policies for the Protection of Children and Youth
3. Review Preventing Bullying guidelines
4. Review Procedures for Restroom Use or Showers guidelines
5. Sign Compliance Agreement Form and forward to Parish Administrator.
VBS Adult Volunteers:
1. Praesidium Academy Online Module:
“Keeping Your Day Camp Safe”
2. Review Diocesan Policies for the Protection of Children and Youth
3. Sign Compliance Agreement Form and forward to Parish Administrator.
VBS Youth Helpers: (ages 12 to 16 years)
1. Read Safeguarding God’s Children and Youth: Guidelines for VBS
2. Sign Covenant for Youth Helpers/Workers and give to VBS Director.

- To access the Praesidium Academy online modules, you must have an account and be logged in. If you have questions, please contact your Parish Administrator/Safe Church Coordinator or email safeguardingatl@gmail.com.
- The Safe Church requirements outlined above are only for VBS. All other children/youth ministers (paid or volunteer) need to continue to complete the full Safeguarding God’s Children training program.
