If you register for a Safeguarding God’s People training session via Zoom, there are prerequisites in addition to the zoom session. These are:
STEP 1: Review Policies
Read through the Diocesan Policies for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Adults and the Reporting Elder Abuse document in their entireties prior to your zoom session.
STEP 2: Safeguarding Online Module (FIRST TIME TRAINEES ONLY)
If you are taking Safeguarding God’s People training for the first time, you are also required to take an online module via Praesidium Academy. (If you are renewing your training, please proceed to Step 3.) Please complete this module prior to the zoom session. Click here for instructions and the link to the module.
STEP 3: Safeguarding Training via Zoom
The third component of the training is held via zoom. You will receive an email prior to the session with meeting details. For security and training purposes, we request that attendees have their video/camera on during the zoom session.
Please note: The above requirements are for Zoom training sessions only; in-person trainings do not require completion of online modules. Please refer to the Safe Church Training page for more information about training formats and schedules.
